Winner Area wrestling team took fourth place at its own invitational on Saturday.
The Warriors had two champions in Wyatt Turnquist and Kayleb Brozik.
Winner boys basketball team bounced back with a win over Tri Valley in the Dakota State University Classic in Madison on Saturday.
Winner won the game 57-48. The game was played in two 18 minute halves.
Leading the scoring were Devon Leiferman and Lattrell Terkildsen with 12 points each; Krockett Krolikowski with 10 points and Drew DeMers with 8 points.
Cameron Kuil pulled down 8 rebounds and Leiferman had 7.
Kuil had 3 steals and DeMers, 4 assists.
Wyatt Ewing had one man maker.
Reed Harter scored 28 points as the Colome boys basketball team defeated Jones County 68-41 on Jan. 19 in Colome. Kelly O’Bryan added 21 points.
Jackson Kinzer pulled down 7 of Colome’s 26 rebounds. Holden Thieman and Will Cahoy each grabbed 4 rebounds.
Colome will host Platte on Jan. 29 in a boys and girls doubleheader.

Winner Lady Warriors rolled to a 77-19 victory over Bennett County Jan. 19 in Martin.
Bailey Volmer and Gabby Kocer scored 12 points, Sydney Fritz, 10 points; Sydney Hollenbeck, 9 and Allison Cox, Chloe Bartels and Madyson Frazier, all with 8 points.
Rebounds were spread out among the Winner team with Frazier, Cox and Hollenbeck all having 5.
Cox had 8 steals.
Colome girls basketball team was defeated by Lyman 48-32 in the first round of the Southern Plains Conference basketball tournament Thursday in Colome.
Mariah Kinzer scored 8 points and Taylor Hrabanek, 7. Callie Heath and Hrabanek each pulled down 6 of Colome’s 28 rebounds.
The Colome girls earned fifth place at the Southern Plains Conference tournament by beating Kadoka Area 54-50 Saturday in Murdo.
Taylor Hrabanek led the scoring with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Callie Heath had 12 points and Mariah Kinzer, 8. Hrabanek had 4 steals and 4 assists.
Winner Area wrestling team took 7th place at the tournament in Mitchell on Saturday. The Warriors had four wrestlers place.
Colby Curtis took second place as he was pinned in 3:54 in the championship match by Austin Senger of Pierre.
Kayleb Brozik took third place as he won 7-2 over E. J. Leetch of Howard.
Wyatt Turnqusit and Jayden Schroeder both placed 4th. Turnquist was pinned in 3:54 by Robert Coyle III of Watertown. Schroeder lost 5-2 to Evan Kizer of Howard.
The Winner Area Junior Varsity wrestled Saturday in Bennett County. Aaron Gilchrist and Jaikob Week both placed fourth.
Winner High School basketball team defeated Aberdeen Roncalli 55-47 in the Heritage Classic in Sioux Falls on Saturday. Roncalli is the defending state basketball champion. The Warriors had the chance to play in the Sanford Pentagon and with the victory improved their record to 8-2.
“We were able to put together our best game of the year and play the full 32 minutes,” said coach Brett Gardner. “It was a fun atmosphere in a great venue against the No. 2 team in the state.”
