Campbell Takes 3rd in Shot Put and Discus

Matt Campbell led the Colome track team at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays in Sioux Falls this weekend.

The Colome senior threw both the shot put and the discus and placed third in each event.

Campbell started Saturday morning off with the shot put and had a third place throw of 52-09.

Later in the afternoon, Campbell threw the discus and had a throw of 166-11.

The Cowboys 4×200 relay took sixth place in 1:35.06. The Colome boys 4×100 relay took 11th in :46.44. Runners on both squads are Chase Dufek, Jackson Kinzer, Holden Thieman and Beau Bertram.

The Colome girls 4×100 relay team took fifth place in :53.01. Runners are Matrix Noteboom, Kaydee Heath, Saydee Heath and Callie Heath.

This same group of four Colome girls ran the 4x200in 1:56.37.

Saydee Heath ran the prelims in the 100 in :13.39.

Bertram ran the prelims of the 100 in :12.01.

Kelly O’Bryan competed in the triple jump in 40-05.

The next meet for Colome will be the regional on May 18.
