BankWest Employees Receive Medical Training

2017 AEDand CPR training

It’s hard to know when medical training will be needed, but BankWest employees in Winner will be better equipped to handle emergency situations.

BankWest employees recently completed CPR certification and learned how to use the bank’s new AED machine. The AED is a defibrillator which can be used on someone experiencing heart failure. Branch President Doug Long said every employee successfully completed the training.

“All seven of our branch employees are now CPR and AED certified,” Long said. “BankWest has a strong commitment to its customers and its communities. Having trained employees, who know how to react during emergency situations, is just one way of giving back to our community.”

In addition to CPR and AED certification, employees learned the proper procedures for assisting adults, children and infants who are choking. The training was provided by Sharon Naasz from the Winner Regional Healthcare Center. Completing the course were: Doug Long, Barry Gardner, Linda Nelson, Mary Sprenkle, Michael Scott, Heather Benedict and Lisa Curtis.
