The second regional high school rodeo was held June 11-12 in Ft. Pierre with area cowboys and cowgirls placing and earning points to qualify for state.
Payton Eagle of Winner was 7th in breakaway roping in the first go and placed 9th in the average.
Wiley Heath of Colome was 6th in boys cutting in the first go, 8th in the second go and 6th in the average.
In girls cutting, Karissa Odenbach of Hamill was third in the first go, 6th in the second go and 5th in the average.
In pole bending, Eagle was 10th in the second go.
Heath was 4th in the first go of the reined cow horse. He was third in the second go and third in the average.
In team roping, Wiley Heath and Myles Kenzy were 6th.
In the second go of team roping, Eagle and Austin Olson were third and Heath and Kenzy were 5th. In the average, Heath and Kenzy placed second with Eagle and Olson taking 8th.
In tie down, Heath was first in the second go and third in the first go. Heath was second in the average and Kenzy was first.
