The Winner dance team kicks off its 7th year as a competitive sports.
The girls open the season at the Gregory Invitational on Saturday, Aug. 26.
Returning letterwinners are: Sadie Woods, Brielle Bachmann, Jaynee Gregg, Gracie Littau, Mckenna Petersen, Sierra Hansen, Macy Olson, Abby Marts and Maddy Hanson.
The girls have been preparing for the new season with several camps and practices says coach Cyndy DeMers. Dancer held a camp with Bethany Locklear, former Minnesota dancer and coach and attended a camp at USD.
To participate in state competition, teams must perform in three dance areas. Winner will be in hip hop led by captain Gracie Littau, pom led by captain Macy Olson and kick led by captain Abby Marts.
There are 15 girls on this year’s team and they are looking forward to their first competition in Gregory on Aug. 26.
