Riley Orel, a junior on the Winner High School football team, was one of two honorable mentions for Midco Sports player of the year.
Orel helped the Winner Warriors win the Class 11B state championship.
The other honorable mention was Kolby Kaiser from Bridgewater/Emery-Ethan.
