Seth Daughters, a graduate of Winner High School, will be the speaker at the Winner School/Winner Quarterback Club athletic awards night on May 8. The program will start at 6:30 p.m. in the Winner Armory.
Awards will be presented to WHS athletes in various sports. The school and the quarterback club will honor community members for their support of WHS athletics.
Daughters graduated from Winner High School in 2008 and continued his athletic career at South Dakota State University from 2008 to 2012.
As a tight end for the Jackrabbits football team he served as team captain during his senior year, a year in which the Jacks won their first Division I playoff game.
Graduating in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, Daughters continued his education and completed his master’s degree in exercise physiology. Serving as a strength and conditioning coach at SDSU, he oversees the softball and swim and dive team strength programs while assisting with the remaining varsity sports.
