Winner High School cross country team competed in the Lyman Invitational on Saturday. The girls team took third place. Leading the Lady Warriors was Chloe Bartels who took 5th place followed by Jaclyn Laprath, 7th; Sam Schuyler, 8; Hayley Halverson, 10th and Aryn Meiners, 16th. In the varsity boys race, Colby Curtis took sixth place followed by Grant Winter, 22nd; Dawson Phillips, 28th and Wyatt Turnquist, 34th.
Winner High School girls placed second at the Big Dakota Conference cross country meet in Chamberlain on Thursday. The varsity girls were led by Sam Schuyler who placed 12th followed by Chloe Bartels, 13th; Jaclyn Laprath, 19th and Aryn Meiners, 39th
The next action for the cross country team will be Sept. 26 at Platte, Sept. 29 at Todd County and Oct. 1 at Burke/South Central.
