The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s and women’s track and field teams competed at the Jim Dutcher Memorial April 22 in Crete, Neb.
Leading the way for the Tigers was freshman Samantha Schuyler of Winner who took first in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:56.80.
Schuyler came in second in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:24.22, while
Callie Heath (Colome, S.D.) brought home a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash in 1:01.14, while placing seventh in the 200-meter dash in 27.07.
In the discus throw, Matthew Campbell, a Colome High School graduate, came in third after a toss of 153-05 feet.
