Winner Area girls cross country team took second place at the Southeast South Dakota Conference cross country meet in Tyndall on Oct. 5.
Chloe Bartels led the Lady Warriors as she finished in 5th place in 20:59.6. Jaclyn Laprath placed 9th in 21:28; Sam Schuyler, 10th, 21:30; Aryn Meiners, 22nd and Megan Blare, 30th.
The Winner boys team took third place and were led by Colby Curtis who took 6th in 18:57. He was followed by Grant Winter, 19th, 20:10; Dawson Phillips, 25th and Wyatt Turnquist, 32nd.
